Felipe Chavez is a contemporary artist, born in Colombia and working in London, England. Through his paintings created with Indian Ink on paper, he uses his own body to explore the male form and its relationship with sexuality and space as a gay man.
Self-Taught, Felipe draws inspiration from artists such as; Emil Alzamora, Egon Schiele, and Francis Bacon.
In the last few years, he has exhibited across the UK and begun working with galleries at an international level. With his conceptual self-portraits and consistent self-experimentation, the artist invites the viewer to engage with the physical introspective depictions of identity and belonging.
